The state of constant and continuous change is the determining
theme expressed through the artwork of British artist Judy Walsh.

What we might have regarded as defined becomes indeterminate.
Permanent becomes impermanent.
What seems solid becomes unstable.

Judy Walsh examines the relationship between history, memory and contemporary issues or events through an historical perspective, often exploring an image or other material that might be familiar to the viewer.

Judy Walsh’s artwork reflects a dedication to authentic and thoughtful artistic expression. It highlights the importance of subtlety and clarity in conveying messages through visual art, ensuring that each piece resonates without overwhelming the viewer. The approach aligns with a professional and composed style, aiming to prioritise genuine connection over sensationalism. “ I strive to captivate the viewer's attention by showing elements that they may already find familiar. Whether it's a classical figure, a thought-provoking poem, or even a symbolic flag. “Each subject I choose holds a significance as it represents a powerful idea or ideal that resonates deeply within. By often employing an (art) historical lens, I am able to delve into the intriguing realm of shifting meanings and its relevance in the context of today's ever-evolving world.”
